Need Workers’ Compensation Insurance?
This is the most valuable policy a business can purchase to protect the employees from injury and the employer from lawsuit. Most people think that general liability is the most important, and it is to prevent an external loss, but it does nothing to prevent the employer from a lawsuit involving an employee.
The construction industry is one of the highest risk industries, hence the specific laws for the construction field. Florida Water Well Contractors Industry has very specific guidelines when it comes down to the rate insurance carriers can charge for Workers’ Compensation. The State of Florida sets every class code rate that the insurance companies can charge for insurance. The current rate for Water Well Contractors is $11.54 per one hundred (100) dollars in payroll.
Florida Workers’ Compensation is a two-part coverage. Workers’ Compensation (Part A) provides payout to an injured employee with no cap to the coverage. The amount the employee receives for payout is all set and controlled by the state. If an employee feels the employer was negligent in causing harm, they may choose to sue the employer instead of taking the state payout. Employers’ Liability Limits (Part B) requires $100,000 per occurrence, $500,000 aggregate, and $100,000 per occurrence by disease and would provide the employer protection in the event of lawsuit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer driver screening?
Yes, all our clients are offered free driver screening. We run the most recent MVR report and tell you what’s on the drivers report and what the premium impact will be on your policy.
Does your auto insurance coverage include specialized equipment?
Water Well Drilling Contractors use a lot of specialized equipment to complete the job. If the vehicle has permanently attached equipment we can add that coverage to the policy, but it is not automatically included on any insurance policy. We take the cost of the vehicle then add the cost of the equipment to come up the coverage level. If the specialized equipment is not permanently attached, then it needs to be scheduled on an Inland Marine policy.
