Insurance Coverage
Commercial General Liability (CGL)
CGL is broken down to each Occurance, General Aggregate, Products/Completed Operations, Personal and Advertising Injury, Fire Damage Legal Liability and Medical Expense. The policy protects the business from financial loss due to a covered claim.
Commercial Auto
Many Fire Sprinkler Contractors have a fleet of commercial autos that they use to move employees and equipment to and from the jobsite. We have coverage options with limits lower or equal to the General Liability Policy. Some of our insurance carriers will provide discounts to bundle the commercial auto with the liability.
Commercial Property
Whether it is the building that you own or just need coverage for your contents, we can provide insurance to protect these items from loss.
Equipment Floater/Inland Marine
Many contractors have specialized tools and equipment that they use in their business. These tools and equipment would not be covered under the contents insurance if these items were away from the principal location. This is where an equipment floater will help cover such items that are away from the business location.
Workers Compensation
As a construction employer, you are required to carry workers compensation if you have one or more full or part time employees. We offer state required insurance limits and excess limits.
Commercial Umbrella
Provides an extra amount of liability protection over all of the underlying coverages. For example, an extra $1,000,000 in liability on top of the underlying general liability and auto liability.
Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds
Some jobs will require a Performance Bond to be able to secure the building contract. Performance Bonds can’t be added to the insurance policy, but can be written separately. We have several insurance companies that specialize in these types of bonds and policy premiums can be as low as 1% of the bond amount.
Be aware of the Terms and Conditions
Insurance policies contain special Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions include exclusions that you may not be aware of or your agent. It’s important to work with an insurance agent that understands your business and reads the policy to make sure you are properly covered.
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
COI is the lifeblood of any contractor and that is why we have a team of Customer Services Representatives that specialize in getting you your COI fast. Not only fast, but with the correct verbiage so you can spend less time sending back the COI to the agent for corrections.
All COI’s are issued within 5 minutes of the request during normal business hours.
